In today’s fast-paced life, staying healthy and happy can sometimes seem difficult. Work stress, unhealthy eating habits and lack of exercise can take a toll on our health. I myself used to feel lazy sometimes in the beginning, but when I incorporated these simple tips into my daily routine, not only did my energy increase but I also felt mentally happy.
1. Take a proper and balanced diet

A healthy lifestyle starts with eating right . I’ve noticed that when I cut out junk food and fried foods and eat more fresh fruits, vegetables, legumes and whole grains, my health improves.
- Breakfast: Oats, sprouted grains or fruit with yogurt.
- Lunch: Dal, vegetable and chapati. Sometimes brown rice or quinoa.
- Evening snack: Mixed nuts or green vegetable salad.
- Dinner: Light and easily digestible.
Tip: Drink lots of water – at least 8-10 glasses a day. It keeps your body hydrated and also detoxes.
2. Exercise regularly

Exercise is not just for weight loss. It is beneficial for both mental health and body. I can say from my experience that yoga and walking reduce stress and increase energy.

- Yoga: 20-30 minutes daily, combined with breathing exercises.

Tip: Drink water by adding lemon or cucumber slices to it – it enhances the taste and keeps the body fresh.
6. Stress management

Stress has the greatest impact on our health. When I myself feel stressed between studies and work, taking deep breaths and short breaks makes a difference.
- Do deep breathing and meditation.
- Learn time management.
- Spend time in nature – a walk in the park or gardening.
Tip: Avoid eating under stress. It is harmful for health.
7. Adopt healthy habits

Small healthy habits make big changes.
- Abstinence from tobacco and alcohol.
- Take some time for yourself every day.

If your diet is lacking in nutrients, you can take supplements as advised by your doctor. I took vitamin D and B12 supplements and it improved my energy.
